A LITTLE PLANNING GOES A LONG WAY

Before you set off.

October to March is most comfortable. Birding at Shekha is best from November to February. Avoid exposed fort and market walks in peak summer afternoons.

November to February · 7-24 C

Winter

Best season for AMU walks, Aligarh Fort, temples, Numaish season and birding at Shekha Bird Sanctuary.

March to June · 29-44 C

Summer

Visit outdoor places early morning. Keep AMU museum, cafes, markets and short temple stops for hotter parts of the day.

July to September · 25-34 C

Monsoon

Shekha wetland and rural edges look greener, but road conditions and waterlogging around old markets should be checked.
